Wisdom Teeth Surgery Removal
« on: April 03, 2013, 04:49:42 pm »
I just had my wisdom teeth taken out early monday morning and I feel great! I'm just really swollen...it feels weird for my cheeks and lips to be this big lol.  :P
I haven't been in any pain thank goodness, I just felt a few tingles today that didn't felt that great, but that's all. I'm also eating way better than I thought I would!
Have you had yours taken out? and how did you do with it?

Also..I got my Mom to video tape me afterward lol. I'll post the links to my videos if anyone is interested in seeing them! They're pretty funny!

I've had mine taken out about 20 years ago. The drugs are cool they give you for pain though.

I had mine taken out years ago.  All I got for pain was Tylenol.  Hope you feel better soon. Careful not to dribble on yourself.

I remember cutting my wisdom teeth.  The pain was excruciating.  I went to the dentist and he told me to brush my teeth extra hard in the back.  I did and got past the "wisdom teeth blues". :o ??? :o

I had mine pulled several years ago.  Only used over the counter drugs, the pain wasn't that bad.

I had my wisdom teeth removed a few years ago. I had all four removed at once and my face swelled up like a balloon. I had some pain, but the dentist gave me pain killers that helped me feel better.

I feel like they've come quite a ways since I got mine taken out. My ex-girlfriend had hers taken out not too long back, and she was back up and running the next day (or day after). I seem to remember being out of commission a couple of days back in my teens.

My 96 year old Mom is going to have 4 teeth out and 1 is a wisdom tooth.  The procedure is going to be as an outpatient in a hosp ital because of her health and age.  Her health is delicate and the oral surgeon would not do it in his office. I am afraid to see the bills from this one. She has no dental coverage.  :sad1:

i had mine out 15 years ago and was a worse case scenario.  Woke up in shock, lost blood clots, gauze packing problems.  A real nightmare when i was 14.  Glad it's over.

Yeah I had two of those removed a few years ago. They were coming in sort of sideways, so the dentist did it as soon as possible. Healed much quicker than I thought! Just don't drink through a straw for a while...it can give you an infection.

Actually mine were taken out when I was 18 and it Hurt like the dickens. One of them actually cracked during removal and had to dig the remainder out. The dentist had to give me additional pain Killers to finish the Job. I had four and they removed two at a time, one week apart.

I have had a number of surgeries but I didn't consider having my wisdom teeth taken out to be surgery.  I guess it is all how you look at it though.  I had mine taken out a number of years ago.  Sucked for a few days but all and all it wasn't too bad.
