I'm lazy so I'd only buy a house with no problems... You're smarter though because you can save (and make) lots of money by fixing up your house.

I would love to buy a fixer-upper, but as things stand now, I don't think we'll ever be able to buy our own place. To rent....definitely a "ready to move in" place as one cannot really change the house anyhow.

I want a move in ready.  You can always add your own changes, we did, but most of the work was done.  We really just did cosmetic changes.

I want a house that is ready to move into. In a fixer-upper, you never know just how many problems there really are.

i bought a fixer upper and i hate it. theres usually more problems then they let on.

i like fixer upper because its cheaper and i get to redo it and make it the way i want it.
