Stubenville Rape Trial...Where are the Parents???
« on: March 23, 2013, 04:31:05 pm »
I have been reading this ladies articles for the last for the last 4 months now because not only is her point of view on Parenting unique and innovative, she's down right hilarious on her S#!t I say on Facebook page.  I nearly died laughing at her rhetoric and my co-workers can't get enough of her as many of her posts have become gut busting sayings around the office.  If you even chuckled at Madea, this lady will make you pee your pants.  But she's serious and intelligent too.  Her recently article on the Stubenville Rape case gave me more insight as a parent than any other article I've read.  And her 3 part piece titled "What I Didn't Learn About Black History in 28 Days" has been nominated for several blogger awards.  Here's a link to what she had to say about Stubenville... what do you guys thinks?  http://raisinemreal.com/2013/03/13/parents-read-steubenville-rape-trial/

I admit that I have heard gossip of this story for a few days now but had not followed up on it. Thanks for sharing! It's horrific and ridiculous how those guys acted in that situation. I may comment later.

What those kids did was absolutely terrible. Makes me sick just thinking about it.
I agree with her when she said that it's a parent's job to teach their children not to rape and not support rape culture. That can be quite hard since rape culture is rampant in the media. But, if more people didn't support those kinds of things, it wouldn't be in the media as much as it is.

It is horrible what they did to that young girl.  Maybe they thought they would get a slap on the wrist because they are stars.  Yet it is sad and mindblowing.  Thanks for sharing. ???
