allergy season
« on: March 20, 2013, 05:10:34 pm »
I like spring a lot. I enjoy the cool and sometimes the warm weather. but I have a major medical issue during the spring season 'ALLERGIES'. My allergies are really bad. Sometimes I shed some silly tears not to mention the running nose.

I have the exact same problem but don't like to take allergy meds because of the way they make me feel.

I feel lucky cause I don't have any plant allergies that I know of so I don't have any issues with this season.  It does seem like everyone else around me though does have them so I end up having to constantly dodge people who sneeze for no reason other than allergies.

Oh yeah know what you mean i go in to the Dr.the first of the month for another shot, helps some, but not on everything. I won't take otc meds. or even what they want to prescribe. it all just upsets my tummy and some of it breaks me out wiith a rash, So i just live with it. I don't have as much trouble when i am out in the middle of the lake. Wish i could just live there.  Wishful thinking.

Oh yes, they're coming.  I welcome the warm weather. Anyone get those sneezing attacks (that's what I call them) where you sneeze 10+ times in a row? :star:

I have spring allergies too during the budding season - all the pollen coming out of every grass and tree around.  Fortunately my spring allergies are not as bad as my fall allergies.  I also know that mine tend to cycle in severity.  I think I'm currently on a down swing, so hopefully they won't be that bad this year...but in a few years from now it won't be pretty.

I take one Sudafad of a morning ( and its only one for 4  hour) when I first feel the tingle in my ears and that wards it of. Take it for about 5 or 6 days and thats it.

I thought I had a cold the other day as I had a headache, sore throat, nose congestion, et cetera, but I took an allergy pill and all was well again.  I get my allergy medicine at the Dollar Store and get the same, albeit generic, medicine that I would have to pay 10 dollars plus for at the drug store.

Hey Y'all - first post here from a newbie!
I thought commenting on allergy season was a good place to start. Everything here in SoCal started blooming early with a vengeance and this is the worst year ever that I've experienced.  Had to go to doc Friday and got a steroid inhaler - developed asthmatic bronchitis - Yikes!!

Allergy season is something I dread, because one of my kids has pollen allergy. She has already missed lots of school days this year because of her allergies.

I have never had any allergy problems until about 2 weeks ago. My nose is itching and I sneeze constantly, my eyes are swollen and my nose drips like a faucet. Just all too yechhy!
