Paid To Call - Easy or Stressful?
« on: March 17, 2013, 07:30:49 am »
I really want to do these offers and I feel like I am missing out on some potentially great earnings. But I have an anxiety disorder which prevents me from working (I'm on disability)... which is why I do online work like here at FusionCash. I feel like I would start panicking on the phone or something.

To those of you that have done a few of these Paid To Call offers, are they generally easy to do? Are you heavily pressured to buy/signup for a service? Can you describe how a typical call goes? I just feel like I would be anxious about engaging in the conversation and then being able to hang up when I want. I have difficulty with real-time interaction with people.

Each call is different. I did not feel excessive pressure but there can be some. It helps if you are genuinely interested in the offer and want more information. Each of us is different so how I feel about a Paid To Call may not be your experience. But I loved doing them and I got credit for each and every one.

You will be connected to a real person who is a representative of the advertiser. Be natural. Be yourself. Be certain to follow the directions of the offer.

In order to find out what it is like, you will need to make that first call.

I went back and re-read your post. I do not know if Paid To Call will work for you. It could be that your anxiety disorder would get in the way. It could be that the call would become too stressful for you. You are the only one who can make that decision but you will be talking to a real person who does want to sell you a product or service. And that person believes you to have genuine interest. Keep that in mind if you choose to make the first call.

One person might find these calls to be stress free. Another person might feel there was some stress and some one else might find the calls to be very stressful. As I have said, we are all different and how we see the world is different. That includes the Paid To Call offers.  :dontknow:

I suppose I could try at least one that I would have a genuine interest in and see where it goes from there. Worse case scenario - if I start getting too uncomfortable I will just excuse myself from the call and hang up, credited or not. You are right though, I will not know how it will go unless I do it and everyone may have a different experience. Thanks for your input.

The paid to calls are pretty easy. You just want to inquire and ask questions pertaining to the offer.

For example the affordable RX, I asked how we get the RX, how much it will cost, what the time frame is, etc.

I got credit for 2 paid to call offers below.

Call: Tech Support II    2013-03-16    $1.50    Approved
Call: Affordable RX    2013-03-16    $2.00    Approved

Your not the only one for sure!!!!! I'm nervous about doing them too. I always see how everyone posts that they love it and it's an awesome easy way to make extra cash! However the thought of sitting on the phone with someone trying to sell me something is like torture to me. I'd rather just pay them not to talk to me lol

 Hi 'LovelyxOdd',  I was going to use the quote option on here from 'bostonphil' & 'elisajoy' but I just used the Say Thanks to them instead... What they said is the way it is... Pretty easy money for very little effort... Mostly let the customer service agent give you the info. You'll come-up with a question or two (maybe 3) that's keep the call goin' for 4 to 5 minutes... I wish I would get more of them... Some people here have said they got call-backs, I never did !
The Affordable RX one on here now sure was good & simple.... Best Of Luck ~~~Jerry~~~

Here is a suggestion. If the call becomes too stressful and you feel that you must end it, say something like 'I am sorry but a neighbor who needs help has arrived and I need to go". You can even pretend to be talking to someone else. I have used this when someone has called me and is going on and on and on -- when i can not get someone to stop talking.  I pretend that someone is at my door and then i come back to the phone and say something about a neighbor needing help and I have to go. I hate to do that but sometimes one must. Having a back up plan might help you relax.

Yay! This was my first one I tried. It wasn't too bad at all. I made sure I had some questions written down before I called and things went smoothly... but they said they are going to have another agency call me back tomorrow because I had a debt over 6 months old.

Call: Debt Consolidation   2013-03-18   $2.50   Approved

I also called the Pest Control Paid To Call and the first person you speak to after the line is answered seemed to have an attitude and even though I thought I was speaking to her for what I thought was a decent amount of time with information she just basically ignored me, asked me what state I lived in and without telling me beforehand, she transferred me to Terminex's call center in which I spent 10 mins on the phone with them. Either way, I did get credited but it took a little longer than the previous Paid To Call I did.

This is a great thread!!!  I've only done one Paid To Call and I never even said a word.  I just stayed on the line, listening to their recording.  LOL

I still mean to do an auto insurance one and maybe a pest control one and then I might really find that they are easy.

It's really not that bad. Even though I finally did two yesterday, I'm still a little nervous about them. BUT they are much easier than I thought.  Just make sure you have some questions or points of interest lined up beforehand in case the convo gets stale and they want to hang up or transfer you before the time is up. I basically pretended to be someone else and read from my cue cards. Lol. I want to try a couple more this week.

Thanks for the info!  Seems I missed out on the auto insurance one as it isn't there anymore.  Maybe it'll come back soon.  Having a list of questions to ask is a great idea!
