Which judge is your favorite?

I really like Keith Urban.  Mariah Carey is my second favorite and I could probably live without Nicki and Randy.

I stopped watching for a minute when there was too much drama between Nicki and Mariah but I'm tuning in, again.

I'm with you...I stopped watching as well and haven't tuned in again...not a fan of Nikki...I think a lot of people are feeling the same

I watched the first 30 minutes this year, and have not watched more than 30 minutes since. The worst thing they could
have done was hire Nicki as a judge in my view.

My favorite is Mariah Carey and Keith Urban is very likeable. Nikki, well I don't know what to say about her. Randy is ok.

I am a fan of Mariah Carey and I think that Nikki Minaj is not the best choice as a judge.  She likes to step on people's toes.  While I didn't like Simon Cowell for the same reason, I would prefer him over Nikki.  It is intriguing that people will tell a person they can sing when the truth is that he or she doesn't sound that great.  Coming on national TV to sing is good for some, but not good for others.

I pretty much agree with everyone else.  Keith and Mariah have constructive criticism, Randy's just Randy - he's been there forever and is like a staple on the show, Nicki Minaj, well, I don't have much to say about her except I wish they would have picked someone else for the fourth judge position.

Nicki was a poor pick and to say the least she's my least favorite...reason: she's highly unprofessional and some of her comments are very vulgar and unbecoming of each a talented person in her profession. Favorite is Keith.

hmm... some of the personalities on the panel are a bit strong but you have to respect all of them. They all have made a huge influence in music like it or not and are very successful! Each may not be everyones favorite artist but they all know music and know what theyre talking about. They got hired because of their credentials and success. Its just hard to get past the personalities though, I do understand that!
I lovee Keith hes is of course, handsome and I enjoy his music and he gives good advice and knows what it takes to be successful (especially in country music)
Nicki is definitely an acquired taste. Shes a bit outlandish and goes on about looks and what not but actually that is kind of important in the real world of music and she also gives good advice on their voices. Shes been making music since 2004 and has been going strong since. She is very sensitive and responsive to people with big personalities like her and that give her emotions when they sing. Thats why she loves Charlie, Zoanette and Curtis so much. Theyre probably the "weirdest" contestants but they bring out emotions when they sing, which is what music is all about right? Honestly American Idol is boring this year and not as much talent as the past has had thats why I kind of enjoy any drama or weirdness on the show lol.
Randy of course knows what hes talking about. Hes produced great artist like Brooke White, Paula Abdul, Mariah Carey, Journey and more. Hes also an artist himself as he plays the bass and sings. His comments I think reflect on his experience and he also gives great advice. People may be thrown off with his personality like saying 'dog' and 'yo' and what not but he knows what the music industry is about and what it takes.
Mariah Im sure everyone knows of is just amazing. Shes been making music since the 80s and is still going strong. I adore her and have been listening to her songs since I was very young. I will say though that she does not give the greatest advice. She reminds me a bit of Paula just always giving compliments and hardly critiques. They are both very sweet but dont give much substance to the panel. However I think they balance out the panel for sure.
So Im just saying dont be thrown off by people's personalities and sneer at them because of it. Thats what makes an artist an artist. Because if you look at what theyve done with music, theyre all pretty amazing in their own unique way

They will never really replace Paula Abdul.  The closest they have come was Ellen DeGeneres.  She did an AWESOME job.  I don't know why Ellen didn't return, if it was her marriage at the time or what, but I sure wish she would have. 
But, I agree currently of the three newbies Kieth is the most personable and I believe the one most influential to the contestants.  He is doing great, but the two ladies need to put their claws away and focus on why they are there.

My family definitely is not a fan of Nikki's. My husband even mocks the way she tends to talk. Gets on our nerves the way he does it. But oh well. She takes to long on her cretiques and the way she calls the contestants different things to me is just plain rude. I like the other three judges though. I think it should just be the three of them. And just a side note: most of this years cast has excellent sounding voices.
