Just wanted to mention that turmeric is a spice that balances blood sugar in type II diabetics.  There's also a book called The Metabolism Miracle to help type II diabetics manage their diabetes through diet.  The diet consists of a lot of protein and complex carbohydrates where a person can consume 5 net carbs every 5 hours for the first phase of the program.  It's all about stabilizing blood sugar rather than spiking it.

Be well and be happy!

I am diabetic, type 1½!!  :o  Well, that is the best term my diagnosing doctor and I could come up with. I developed diabetes several years after suffering from pancreatitis. It is assumed that my pancreas stopped working regularly, actually its is erratic as can be. Some days I need little insulin and will create a 'low', other days I can't inject enough of the stuff.

I have a dietetes but only have to take pills for it.  They keep my sugar where it is suppose to be.  My mother and grand mother also had it.  so it runs in the family.  Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.
