oops! thought i'd read all the comments, haha.

amelie is one of those movies that just sticks with you...
i love how the director captured such true thoughts
and feelings through the camera. i know what i'll be
watching next  ;D

There are many memorable quotes.  I love the "how many people are having an orgasm right now?" scene.  I love the traveling gnome.  I love her father's reaction to it.

I think the director does a good job of touching the viewer.  There are so many aspects to that movie that are amazing.

The cinematography is gorgeous. Each little story is wonderful.  I have seen that actress -- Audrey Tautou in a few movies.  I have seen the Glass man in a few movies, too.  Audrey Tautou was in a movie called Dirty Pretty Things.  It is gritty, but it was good.

The Devil's Backbone was very creepy, had to turn on all the lights at a certain point while watching that one.

I have never heard of any of the movies you listed.  I don't personally like anything with subtitles.  There are foreign films made that are in English and basically if I can't tell it is a foreign film then I would watch it.

I like Japanese horror movies. The best one I ever seen was JU-OH which they remade as The Grudge in the states. JU-OH is way better.

I haven't gotten into foreign films yet. I'm sick of American films... I think I'll give them a try. Thanks for the suggestions :)
