Sadly, I had spoken to or heard of way too many people who are, for one reason or another, not going to yearly doctor visits. For those who don't want to go because they don't want to hear bad news, you gotta think of your loved ones.
I don't pay doctor's to "practice" on me. I have lupus and have had more then my fill of incompetent so called experts. 

I have MS and feel the same way.  They destroyed my health further.  Not a single doctor I spoke to told me that diet alone could ease many of my symptoms.  When I asked about dietary changes, they wanted nothing to do with me.  Doctors only wanted to treat me if I took the pills. 
EXACTLY! That is all they ever did was throw pills at me ! I took it upon myself to make changes that have improved my overall health. I have no need of the money grubbing self important quacks!
