What is the worst natural disaster you have lived through.

The ice storm in Kentucky, just a few months ago. Our whole town, well, half the state really , went with no electric for 12 days when the temps were around 15 - 20 degrees. We had to melt snow and ice for water because the water treatment plant was down too. It took 5 days for the national guard to get to our (rural ) area passing out food and water. It was a nightmare, since we had one child and one man who had just had spinal surgery to take care of as well. We got through and I'll be much better prepared in the future.
