I am struggling to lose weight especially on winter. Winter is a lazy season to snuggle and be a pig. LOL

What is the fastest and safetest way to loose weight. I am trying to loose about 30 to 50 pounds by the end of April. Is it possible and how?

My son lost about 30 pound quickly going on the Palio diet. He also exercises every day.  The diet restricts white flour products and cannot eat beans.  The diet does want you to eat meat and veggies.

You have to find a diet that you are going to stay on, lifestyle way to eat.  There are many people that yo yo diet and I don't think that is healthy for you. It messes up the metabolism and there could be other health issues that I don't know about.

I liked the soup and salad diet. I only eat a little chicken in the soup.  I do make my soup stock with chicken.  Lots of vegetables in my diet.  I eat 3 fruits a day. Limit the white flower products that I eat.

Best wishes on the diet that you can stick with as a lifestyle diet.

Paleo is good but Keto is better. Paleo is better for maintaining wieght while Keto is better for loosing it.

Ketogenic diet may be good for curing epileptic conditions, but I don't think eating all that meat as a lifestyle diet is good for anyone.  Maybe as a weight reduction plan for a time.

Due to the processing of meat  in our meat production industry with growth harmonies, etc., I would not use the Ketogenic diet as a whole life diet.

It is mind-boggeling as the correct weight loss diet to be on.

Good luck!

That's not possible unless you are morbidly obese with 100+ pounds to lose. You may be able to lose 10-20 pounds if you do have a substantial amount of weight to lose but otherwise I would look into a more realistic goal. If you lose a lot of weight quickly you tend to gain it back as soon as you go back to eating normally

I would suggest tracking what you eating and exercising. I use sparkpeople and have had success

I'm taking the P-90X Challenge. And I gotta tell you, I'm 8 days into the program and it'll ware you out!  :o But the program offers a Great eating schedule and plan to live by. You just gotta make sure to get rid of the Bad, junk food out of your house or you 'will' be subject to eat it. Trust me, it's happened to me  :sad1: but pick a program or gym and stick with it. Don't give up. And when you're marching around with good results you'll be proud and it'll be the best feeling in the world. Wish you all the best!  :)

I know what you are going through  trying to lose weight. I finally told myself it was time Iand I started. I used the Deal a Meal and Sweating to the Oldies with Richard Simmons. I started off slowly on the exercising tape as I was so out of shape. But as the time went on I was able to do more and more. I lost 9 pounds the first week alone. When all was said and done I had lost over 40 lbs. Not bad right? I learned how to eat the correct portions and took it from there. I hope that you have the success that you are looking for. Remember the old saying that "Rome wasn't built in a day". Just keep your goal in mind and you will do it.

GOOD LUCK!!!! :female:

Do not eat red meat and keep your fat intake down.  I changed my diet and just lost 15 lbs in a month.  I eat a lot of fish, chicken, and vegetables.  Also I like the fiber one products for my anything sweet.

I've given up meat. I do eat fish and low fat dairy. I try to only do whole grain products. My biggest problem is sweets. I try to stay away from them but it's so hard. If I could give them up I would probably be in good shape.

Recently, I have been using the Lose It app on Google Chrome. I really like it. There is tons of support and motivation tips. When I want to lose weight, I eat Smart Ones. They really help me out a lot. I buy their desserts too, when I have a craving for something sweet. Best tip, is to drink lots of water. Whenever I get hungry, water helps me overcome the hunger pains. Cold water is best. It will curb your hunger at least an hour and when you do eat, you won't feel so hungry anymore so you won't overeat. I run too on a daily basis. I strength train 3-4 times a week and do interval training/cardio 3 times a week. I run 6 times a week. If I need to lose between 25-50 pounds, I usually get this accomplished in 9 months, but I have to exercise almost everyday to do so!

Good Luck everyone!!

I would avoid taking drugs that promise weight loss.  You can safely speed up your metabolism to burn more calories by doing the following:

* Cut the size of your meals and eat more often, every 4 - 6 hours
* Try to work in some exercise about 30 minutes after you eat, even if it is for just 5 minutes at a time
* Avoid sugar & food items with processed flour.  If you have to eat on the run & are able to take lunch to work with you, make your own bread (pancakes will
work for sandwich bread) using oat flour instead of wheat flour.  You can put regular oats in a blender & make your own flour cheaply.
* Eat healthy; strive for a good nutritional mix.
* Don't skip breakfast even if it is just an egg with juice.
* For quick snacks or to satisfy hunger cravings, try V-8.

Wow shows how little you know! It is good for soo much more then just epilepsy. If you knew your  :bootyshake: from a hole in the ground you would know that you DO NOT EAT PROCESSED MEATS on Keto...
