Almost every animal is cute when it's a baby. Little chickens are no exception, but when they grow up, they are not quite as lovable.  On the last episode of the tv show "The Bachelor,"  the bachelor and his date visited a market place with a stall where all the baby chickens were dyed different colors.  They were really pretty, but it doesn't seem right to be allowed to do that. I hope the dye doesn't get into their systems and hurt them.

I don't believe that dye is good for them at all but I hope I am mistaken.

Those little chicks are very cute, I wonder at what point their feathers turn from yellow to white?

I was given a baby chick as a child.  I loved looking at it.  I don't remember much more about loving it or caring for it.  I lived in the city and my parents didn't have a place to keep the chick when it grew to be a chicken. The chicken, as I found out, was given to the neighbor for it's final stage.

You have to be able to care for the chicken as an adult also.

Of course they are cute when they are babies.  That changes when they becomes hens and roosters.  They become more irritating.  My late grandmother had gotten a rooster from one of our cousins and had the idea of having it in the laundry room while she fattened it up for the pot.  I was sick of it because at 5:00 am, that thing crowed and woke me up out of a sound sleep.  It took about 3 or 4 months, but she eventually killed it and cooked it. :o ???

Baby chickens make me think of Easter.  They are so cute - but I wouldn't want to get attached to one.  Their future isn't the brightest  :(

The yellow feather makes them really cute but after a 2 weeks they are not  yellow anymore they grow so fast and eat and drinks a lot and very messy too, but my purpose on them to lay eggs a lot people said that the fresh eggs is really taste good so I hope I can get one on them.We have 10 chicks and first time to have it.

I have a few chickens that I raised from little chicks, and they were very cute.  I still have them, and now they're big beautiful chickens.  Since they're all females, I don't have any crowing noises to deal with.
