My bathroom will be full of people while I'm trying to go....it's hard to use the bathroom while they all in there....my boys don't come in the bath with me anymore like they use to, my girls still do, now my grand babies come in all while I'm in there, they at the door if it locked or in there if they can get in.....children hate not being able to get in the room with us...or just being able to see us.....that closed door will upset a child quick....

My grandson, who is 5, will come in on me when I am on the toilet.  There are times when I have to sit longer, like when I have to take a poop.  He don't have to go until I am in there. :o

I think they think it's a given that it's a community bathroom trip. And if I get in in time without any of them and lock the door, I will most likely see a hand under the door or have one of them talk to me at the door.

My girls come to try and talk to me all the time. Especially the ten year old. But if I don't latch the door and the dog is in even she will come in the bathroom. Sometimes she'll lay down right in between my legs, others she'll come get her head patted then will lay down right outside the door and wait for me.(Gotta love your pet sometimes :dog:)

So I truly thought I was the only one who had the problem. My daughter who is now 2 has been doing this from the beginning of her time. I can not go to the bathroom without her. I can go in and lock the door or go without her noticing and she will come and knock until I let her in. The only time I get some peace is late at night after she has gone to bed. I am trying to potty train as well and she will sit but never use it until she gets up and gets the diaper back on. I just don't understand it.

Suggestion that we did with our daughters to get them trained was to pull them from the diapers and put them in pull ups and also big girl panties. But with that you have to be prepared to take them to the toilet frequently(the big girls panties I mean). The pull ups allow them to go a little longer. But the feel of the wetness against their skin helps a great deal. If you go with the big girl panties I would suggest getting the plastic covers for over them. Best of luck.

Ya beat me to it! I was just going to say that both my  :dog: and  :cat: have to try to cram into the bathroom to be with daddy... I don't mind the cat that much, but when you've got a 180 lbs. mastiff also trying to nose her way in, it gets pretty crowded! I also hate when I'm trying to pee and my cat tries to see what's in the toilet  :-X

I have 3 kids and my youngest is by far the worst about it.  We moved into an apartment where the locking mechanism was removed from the bathroom door. So teacher her to knock was and not just barge in was a problem at first.  Now it seems like whenever some one is in the bathroom (9 out of 10x's me) she's standing outside the door knocking...ur right somehow they just know when you gotta go and feel as though there presence needs to be made than.  The other night she was getting out of the tub and my son had to go...so he started tapping on the door.. as a joke everyone of us knocked on the door while she was drying off and changing.  Her little 6 year old body was moving so fast...than she came out and said, "You guys didn't ALL have to go did you?"

My sisters' first daughter used to follow her all the time to the bathroom, she is now 10 years old but when she was younger it was a constant thing. One day my sister called me up and said that she almost sat on her daughter, she went to the bathroom and the little tiny thing (her daughter) sneaked right behind her right onto the toilet seat as my sister is about to sit she felt a hand touched her...lol...I used to laugh ;D at all those moments, now that my niece is 10 she doesn't follow mommy to the bathroom anymore its mommy who follows her (she has matured)! Now guess what I now have my little mini me following me around and I enjoy it most of the time but not all the time I like my privacy in the bathroom but if I lock her out its crying and pounding on the door, then I feel so sorry for her, my booty :bootyshake: is shy can't do much when someone is in there with me so I have to wait until someone distract her or she is asleep! I don't mind when I go to pee because she likes to sit on her potty or the toilet seat this helps me with training her, now she will not go to poo only pee go figures ::) anyways thats my tale!

It seems like I can never get a moment of time to myself! Not even in the bathroom. If it's not the kids bugging me in there it's hubby.  lol   :dontknow:

When I first became a mom, I thought it was just me, but with each child it was the same thing....and now I know it's natural.....my bowels will lock up when there is someone is in the bathroom....they don't seem to get it....my dog would be in there as well, he would lay between my legs and look at my children like ha you can't be here, then he would sit up and look back....I would laugh most days....gotta love it....
