Drug or alcohol addiction

Do you have a loved one or friend who has a drug and/or alcohol addiction?  If so, how do you deal with it?

I sent them to a rehab center that lives off of donations.  Then, I did not let them manipulate me anymore into believing that everything is all well, when I know that the alcoholic person is not well.  This person is still in the drug and alcohol rehab center, until they can fully recover.

It is sad that so many people are on drugs today we just have to pray for them.

It is a very hard thing to deal with, and sometimes you just have to go minute by minute to deal with something so  painful

My daughter was. It didnt matter what I said ot did I was the bad one. She ended up pregnant and stopped the drugs right there and then. My grandaughter now is 10 and healthy. My daughter is now 8 months pregnant with her second child. God is good.

My ex was a drug addict.  Had been since he was 12 years old.  I got tired of buying things and they would walk out of the house because he was that addicted.  I got rid of him in 2000.  I could not live the rest of my life being his enabler and him being nasty to me when I protested. :-
