Like planes, trains, and automobiles many, many more cruise ships make their destinations without incidents than those that do not. Live life to the fullest so you don't regret not doing what you really wanted to do in life.

The first group event after embarkation on a cruise ship is a demonstration of how to use the life jackets and where to go in case of an accident.  Every person is required to participate in this activity and has access to the life jackets.  This should help alleviate your misgivings--knowledge is power, especially over anxieties.  Cruises are my very favorite form of travel. (Hopefully, my earnings on FC will help me take more...lol)

Google the cruise lines you are interested in and check them out. My husband works in the marine industry; I wouldn't hesitate to take a cruise on any major cruise line.  A line you have never heard of out of Bangeldesh (I know I spelled that wrong but you get the idea) I would be more hesitant about embarking on.

I have been on three cruises.  All with Carnival.  I love Carnival ships and given the opportunity, I would go on another cruise.  They treat you like Kings and Queens and all of the staff are so helpful and nice.  I have never encountered a rude staff member of any of the three ships I have been on.

I have been on a couple of cruises. The most recent was a carnival one a few years ago. I wasn't carzy about that one wouldn't go on Carnival again.
The one i loved was on Holland america several years ago that one was fantastic.
A little bit of research before you book a curise or any vacation is always a great idea these days.  :peace:

I once made the mistake of getting on board a ferry on a lake and it cured me from ever wanting to take a boat anywhere.  From that moment until today and proably well into the future I decided I was not going anywhere that I could not reach by rail.  :)
