Bank of america used to have a program where they would round up your charge amount and deposit it into a savings account which is where most change should be.  :)

I put the spare change in my sons piggy bank and once it is full we add it to his College fund.  :)

I have a big glass jar that I fill up with all of my spare change. At the end of the year, I roll all of the coins and cash it in at the bank. That's where my holiday money comes from :)

I bought a coin counter thing from Wamart for $5.00. It has a digital counter. I now put my change in that. I tried putting change in my car but really didn't need for much of anything as we don't have toll roads or bridges here. I don't go downtown much so have very little need for parking meters.
Other than coming out of the stores, I couldn't give change to the homeless as it seems the stores are more aggressive in chasing people off (as it should be).  The city has passed an ordiance making it against the law to give change to people on the side of the road or on the middle islands as it poses traffic hazards.
When the change jar gets full I will donate it to the youth group at church.
I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

I usually save my spare change in cups or a jar. When it adds up to a lot, sometimes I roll it in coin paper. Sometimes I will use it for a lotto ticket, if I am broke. But most of it just stays in a cup or jar until desparate times. It is always good to have spare change for those just in case scenarios.

I put it in a container, then take it to the credit union, where they have a free coin counter that prints a ticket that can be used as a deposit.

I use a giant size plastic jar with a lid to keep my change in. I was forced by my small coin change  :D to get all my loose change out of my small purse and put somewhere else. After a while of putting change in the jar it becomes full.  I then take the full jar to a local supermarket such as Kroeger or Walmart and cash the coins out at the store's Kiosk coin machine. Once the coins have been fed into the coin machine a ticket voucher comes out, whereas, you take the receipt to the cashier and you will get whatever amount is on the cash receipt

I save all my change in a giant jar.  Once it's filled I will do something special with it...maybe give it to someone who could use a little financial boost or buy a new Dooney and Bourke handbag.
