If you're talking about Social Security, I think the answer is that he won't get disability without substantiating medical records and not all things will qualify with records.

He went to dr and all kinds of painful tests and therapy and then to disability dr who only raised his hands in air said you not disabled go home get a job,but he hurts in his back and neck and arms so bad most of the time he cant hardly move,but refuses to go back said the bunch of quacks ! Thanks I Hope It Does Im Not Making Enough Money To Support Us

you definitely have to have drs sayso on disability and lots of medical records about the situation.my husband is on disability and it took forever it seemed to get it started.and that was with the drs saying he was disabled.SS has their guidelines up against the drs.i am in the process of trying to get mine.i have severe back and hip pain.sometimes i can hardly walk,but i was told by a lawyer that unless you have medical records to state you are disabled,it won't go through....good luck and be prepared to get turned down the 1st time.i think that is a given..

yes i tried to tell my husband the more paperwork the better and everyone tells us you usually get turned down three times then have to get a lawyer his biggest problem is smoking thats the first thing the dr`s say and his belief is what the heck does the smoking got to do with his neck and arms,he is a stubborn country boy

he has to go to the dr.or hell have all kinds of problems i know i draw mine

Even if he goes to the doctor, it doesn't mean he will get his disability. My husband worked for years and has so many medical problem, the doctors said he was disabled and has all kinds of documentation and he still was denied five times and is getting ready to go back to court. Good luck!
