how meaning of words and things have change

when i was a kid gay still meant happy
you did not wear pink and green together
we did not do a 'pop' of color we tried to match clothes and our accessories
we only wore for ex a striped shirt with blue jeans and not  plaid jeans
our socks matched
and i got my bubble gum two pieces for a penny
girls wore gowns and boys wore pajamas to sleep in

I'm amazed by how things have changed since I went to school. Sometimes I wonder if technology and political correctness hasn't destroyed our human spirit a bit.

people use to sit on front porch
used to see more people outside now people stay in a lot more

things have changed so much.kids have it made today and then again they don't..a lot of them today have no morals and no self respect and no respect for anyone else either.we said yes mam and no sir..things have changes so much

Yeah I know what you mean. I remember how the we as kids respected our parent and obeyed them. Now a day there is less respect in our children for us and for teacher and older adult. We were taught to respect our elders. Even though we try to teach this to our kids they don't lesson as well. There is less respect to other than in our time. This is sad to me.
