Yes I have.  It was pretty cool but the company I worked for only had certain stores to go in and I couldn't keep being a repeat customer without them catching on.

I was mystery shopper for sonic and burger king in an other town.It worked out for me as i was also a merchndizer for walmart, k-mart and the dollar tree with greeting cards and also put out the books each month for K-mart. Thanks heavens they were no all on the same day, because it was a job that kept me busy. But i got to meet a lot of nice people while doing it.

I have seen those ads about mystery shoppers and shadow shoppers, but I wasn't sure which ones were legit. So, I never tried it. The idea sounds like fun while earning money.

You can find me on Youtube!

I signed up for the mystery shopper but 99% of the jobs seemed to be in cell phone stores.  I can't stand going to cell phones when I have too so I did seem like something I wanted to do.  If it was in other stores I wouldn't mind at all.

I have never heard of the term shadow shopper, but I have heard of mystery shopping and was always intrigued by the program. I just never pursue to learn how to participate, but maybe one day if I can find a reputable company I won't giving this a try.

I've always wanted to do this but never signed up because of the high probability of scams. If I'm going to a store to buy certain things anyways it'd be nice to make a few extra bucks back from it.

I was signed up with shadow shopper for a while it was real easy to do.  Some of the jobs paid little and had to wait a
month to receive a check.  The bad part is you shoould not have to pay to join

Yes I do it all the time. Be careful of scams though. Anyone who charges you to refer you to Mystery shop jobs is not legitimate. Secrecy is of utmost importance..you must not talk about what you do except in very general terms, and when you are on a job, never ever reveal yourself. You must roleplay as an ordinary shopper and do whatever your shop guidelines instruct you to do. You must have good observational skills and good written communication skills because each shop requires a report to be submitted. The report when read, must give the reader details of what transpired during the shop, as though they were watching and listening to a video of what happened from the moment you walked in until you left. Timing and descriptions of people must be reported.
Choose your shops wisely. Weigh the cost of gas to drive there against the shop fee. Mapquest can estimate your gas costs when you get driving directions. Recently I was offered a lunch shop with a $25.00 flat fee. The meal would have cost me about $35 plus the cost of gas to get there. Unless you can get a date to take you there and treat you (you pocket the $25) it's not a good idea. I have to work around my part time time job. I shop mostly on my days off, and I usually do 2 shops each day off. Sometimes if a shop is in my city or close by, I can go do it in the morning before noon ( thats when my job starts). I really apply myself, and I make $150 to $200 a month. If I wasn't restricted by my job, I could do more. I have to turn down a lot of shops. For February I have a $10 shop and two $40 shops. I shoot for a minimum of $100 a month, so I am already almost there. from just those three shops. Hope that helps!
