The fact that she admitted it is like career suicide... how many other big artists have admitted it and fell off the musical map? I'm not a great fan of her music, but past has shown lip synching costs singers their careers!!

Beyonce is wonderful.  If she had make a mistake, it would be a completely different story.  I enjoyed her singing lip or live.

The media is infamous for instigating, twisting the the facts and sensationalism. The media makes a big deal out of trivia matters as a way of manipulating the public and keeping its ratings high.

What is the big deal whether she sang The Star Spangled Banner live or taped.  I think she did a awsome job, it doesn't matter to me.

I didn't watch it. If they made a big deal about her singing "live" then I could see it being an issue but otherwise no big deal. Did they say why she did it?

I think it doesnt matter either taped or live too! Good singers do good both taped and live!

The whole idea of attempting to pull off something like this was probably thought about before hand. I don't feel that this was a good idea. When you tell people that you are going to perform live, you should honor your word. Beyonce has a great voice, and could have easily done a wonderful live performance if she had choose too. Unfortunately she just was influenced to make a bad decision. Promoters, and managers helped to influence the whole idea, and I'm sure that they are aware that they made a bad choice. She sounded great though, even it was pre-recorded.
