What would you do if you went Blind

That would be the worst thing I would feel could happen.  That is a major fear of mine.  I give you credit for adjusting and admire your courage.

I look at it like this:  God created you.  He gave you the things that make you the person you are.  I have heard it said that if you are blind,  your other senses are heightened.   He blessed me with talents that only one of my sisters share.  I am blessed to still be here and have incredible opportunities ahead of me.  Instead of fear being a part of my life,  I embrace it.

Wow this is a tough one!  Of course I would do the best I could to cope with the situation that was handed to me.  I would be quite sad to not see the faces of my beautiful kids as they get older.  Yuk I feel sad now.

I would miss driving, going where I want to go via waiting for some to carry me everywhere.

Deal with it and learn to do what everyother person has done. There is so much equipment now that can help you live a pretty normal life. Driving would be the only thing that i would miss the most.

I think that it would be difficult at first, if I went blind, especially if it happened suddenly rather than gradually. Once I mourned the loss of something that is precious to me, I'm sure I'd learn to use my other senses to make up for my lack of sight. Though I can't say for sure.

I had a friend who was legally blind.  Other than that,  he did things in the normal way.  I witnessed him reading; he would hold the book so close to his face,  you would think he was kissing it.  He didn't allow that fact to change him; life for him went on and he used his other senses to get by.  He cooked for himself and everything.  While people say they would believe being blind would be like the end,  never say never.   God will stand by you and will not put more on you than you can handle.  I know because He has been there for me.

At first I think I would go stark raving mad, then change my lifestyle to something that I could cope with. I am an artist, so that will be a great blow to me, but as someone posted before.....even an artist would be able to carry on. I admire you for what you have achieved with your blindness. Well done, you are an inspiration!

I don't know. I'd probably just be upset at first and keep thinking "Why me?!!" but then after I'd just have to deal with it

Perhaps, it's time to delegate so that you can take a weekend off from all that and go out with friends and not worry about them! Just a thought.

 ???O my God, this is something I wish nobody would have to deal with in their life. it just isn't fair. I feel sorry for all blind people.

If I went blind I would probably feel like crap, but then I would learn to cope with it and be thankful that I am at least living and that I got the chance to be able to see. Imagine being born blind.  :-

life wouldnt be worth living if i couldnt see. u cant see faces or bright colors and cant drive.
