Listen to praise and worship music and sing to the Lord

I'm glad to hear that after a horrible week in the hospital with devastating news your father is going to be able to get rid of the tumor.  My Mom had a nodule on her pancreas and had 3/4 of it removed.  Yes you can survive with a portion of the pancreas removed...pending on which lobe is withdrawn.  She is on an enzyme tablet for the rest of her life to do what that portion of pancreas used to do (at least when it was healthy)

... Moving on.  I allow myself a good cry.  But in a hospital setting that can be difficult.  Some things I've done in the hospital setting to release emotions are... putz around in the gift shop.  Splurge on something decadent I wouldn't normally do.  walk the campus/the halls...jog there is a safe environment to do so.  Pray in the chapel.  I can't focus on reading so the netflix...funny video's is a great idea.   Cartoons have gotten me through many a moments in ER's and pediatric admissions.

Hope some of those suggestions help.  I think you're on the right track by knowing the diversion is good for you.

Thanks for your kind words.  It can be stressful.  Now that he is home and waiting for recovery to have the 2nd surgery done, it is hard to stay upbeat because he has good days and bad days and I am so exhausted that I sleep when ever my mom and dad do.  A lot of people talked about a good cry.  That makes sense.  I think I feel one coming on soon.  I usually do feel better afterwards.  lol

I am most always cheerful.  I think when I get up in morning and get feet on floor, the Lord has blessed me with another day.  Hope everyone has a great weekend and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.   It is snowing here today in middle Tennessee.  Yeah, don't work today and maybe will get enough to make snow cream.
