I am looking for a newer home, but I am still exploring. I realize how little I can afford as I am basically the only income earner in the family and the places I would like to live in are typically on the higher end.

Nope, I already have a home.  Although I would love to buy a home in a warmer state without income taxes.

I tried to buy a house a few years ago. We were doing great for a while, but then the bank began to tack on escrow to the payments and the insurance went up. This was more than I could afford and I had to file bankruptcy. It will be a long time before I decide to buy another house, if I ever do. Good luck to those that try though.

We are trying to sell ours so we can move into the county next door, so, yes, Lord willing, we'll be buying a house this year!

I would.... on househunting right now.

Still confusing about school district where our kids will go if we buy a house, does a school grade/rank really important?

I am buying a home, paying way below rental on it. It is a fixer upper and we ae working on it. Would rather then do it this way then go into debt big time just because i want a big fancy house. Have other things i want to do also. Besides it is good for us to stay busy at our age.

My husband and I really want to build our own home, but I old home is still cozy; I think we just want a change.

Yes, I want to buy my own home but the banks are the first obstacle to my projects and dreams.

This year?  Oooh we've been looking on and off since before my daughter was born - she is now 22 months old lol - we want to live on at least 2 acres and it's hard to find what we want!

Are you going to buy a home this year.  Just wondering?  Yes or no will suffice
Not this year but a new one soon. Hopefully a rent to buy. And a two or three family. Not sure of which state, my first one was in NY. But I live in New Jersey now.

We just bought our condo in Dec 2012. So we don't plan on moving anytime soon.  Maybe in about 10 years, we may find something better and move again. But we'll see...never know.

Nope - bought my house almost 3 years ago and I'm planning to stay here for quite a while.  I got lucky, and the house I found is absolutely perfect for me.
