My daughter had a co worker who got a call from the person she had been dateing for several months to tell her that he was breaking up with her.  When I heard that I thought how un coool is that.  So have you or would you break up with somebody your dateing by phone?

That's a pretty terrible thing to do (reminds me of Sex And The City when a guy Carrie was dating broke up with her on a Post-It note) but nowadays it wouldn't surprised me since technology rules people's lives.

That's pretty low, but even worse is breaking up with someone via text message. My friend's daughter was all broken up because some guy she was going out with sent hear a breakup text. She cried for 2 days! I felt like dragging the guy out to the woods for some private time.

I am not disagreeing with you guys but that type of thing seems to becoming more and more common.  I wouldn't be surprised if it became the norm one day.

someone has broken up w/ me over a instant message. one was not even telling me just moving away. i swear people are just scared to face things like that
