I went to Winn-Dixie recently and stocked up on their buy-one-get-one-free products.  I spent a little over $100 but saved $95.  This also goes toward the Shell Fuel Rewards Network, and it bumped me up to 75 cents per gallon savings on gasoline.

Yes things are expensive even some thinga at walmart are up there. People will tell you to buy when on sale and with coupons that works but not all the time.they rarely have say meat coupons  but offer discounts on meat like 1.00 or 2.00 off those are fine if you use them that day or freeze right away. We have dollar stores like 99cent love most of what i get there.

Our grocery store is quite high, But i do buy a lot of my meat there because it is cut right there and is usually fresher then Walmarts. And if it a large cut of meat will cut it into the size you need. Then i can freeze it. There is just the 2 of us. It dose save a little when it is on sale. We do have a couple of dooar stores and another store called alco and hey have a lot of merchandise on sale cheaper then our grocery store. except for milk, bread and meat. Man you just have to shop around. And it is going to get worse.

We buy our groceries every two weeks.  Winn Dixie is our local store.  They some times have good prices and specials.  Making a list of what we need and sticking to it helps keep the bill lower.

I buy a lot of our grocery items and almost all of the non-grocery items at Walmart.  I don't like their meat though.  We have a small locally-owned grocery store not even a mile from our house that my husband goes to every day to get what we are cooking for supper that night.  lol One of his high-school buddies owns it and he likes to shop there to give support to his buddy.  The prices are higher but the quality of the meat is excellent so I don't complain about the price.  I too believe we should support our local businesses when we can if it doesn't end up costing an arm and a leg to do it.  And, what I don't want to get from the locally owned grocery store I get at Krogers if I don't want to go all the way to Walmart.  The local guy doesn't usually have good fruits or fresh veggies so its Krogers or Walmart for those.

Everything has gotten so high. It is hard to run to the store for a few things and come out under $30.00.

I know there are some places in the world that are cheeper to live at such as Missouri I found that where I live now is way cheaper than where I lived in California.  A two bedroom town house 20 years ago was $1200 a month where is Missouri rent today you can find as little as $250 a month big difference, this is the same as gas, groceries, and anything else.  Believe I still have problems affording thing because I can't work and my husband is on SSI so we suffer as well because two people trying to live off one income that was intended for one person.

Where I live there is a Shoperite around the corner. And I have to say they have the best prices of all the supermarkets in my area. So, I do save money. I also go to Costco, not often though.

Yes, grocery stores are getting so expensive.  I get any prescriptions filled at Kroger so I can save on gas.
