« on: January 10, 2013, 01:25:39 am »
Im new to this online curiosity .. Can some one tell me me what is the difference between PTC, GTC, PTR sites.. what is it that they each do , or are they all the same.
I only have PTC sites.. But I think Fusion Cash is a GTC site.. which I do not know what that means...just a thought I also noticed that that are a bunch of guest here today..  :BangHead: why cant they be rented if they join with out a referrer?

PTC (paid to click) - Sites with a list of ads and pays you one cent or less for each one you view each day.
GPT (get paid to) - Sites with multiple options to make money which can include surveys, offers, tasks, cashback shopping, etc.
PTR (paid to read) - Sites which sends you emails for you to read, with a link, and clicking on that link will earn you money.
PTP (paid to promote) - A feature some sites have. You can earn money by promoting your given link using site(s) from there approved list.

FusionCash would be a GPT site.

A few other acronyms that you may run into while looking for sites to earn money:

PTS (Paid To Signup): Sites that pay people for signing up on some different site as the advertiser's referral. Usually they also have stipulations aside from just signing up before you will be paid, such as having to click a certain number of ads when signing up for a PTC site.

OSS (Online Survey Site): Survey sites that you complete online. Even if you receive test products to try at home before answering a survey, the site itself is still considered an OSS since you answer the survey questions online. Nelson falls more into a gray area since some of their surveys / data collection is handled offline, like having TV viewers keep an offline journal of their viewing habits and sending in that journal at the end of a period of time.

MLM (Multi-level Marketing): Sites that pay you a commission for not only the amount of product you sell, but also for the amount of product that your referrals (or your "downline") sells. Avon, Pampered Chef, Wildtree, and Acme are some of the more famous MLM companies. Many other online sites use a similar paradigm, like FC pays you a referral bonus each time one of your referrals cashes out.

PTD (Paid To Do): I personally haven't seen this term used much anymore. But it is essentially the same as a GPT site, where you get paid to do a variety of different things. I did read once where PTD was distinguished from GPT sites in that the PTD sites are the task sites that pay you for doing small online tasks. Amazon's Mechanical Turk would then be a PTD site under this definition.

PTV (Paid To View): Get paid to view videos. Sometimes they also require you to make a comment on the video, rate the video, etc. before you get credited.

Rented referrals are common with PTC sites, because you earn from daily activity. On Fusioncach a sponsor only earns at cashout, so renting referrals doesn't make sense. From my experience of renting hundreds of referrals when I didn't know any better, most of the time it's a scam. They are not even real people, just bots that click only enough to break even (if that) and the only one that makes any real money is the owner of the site.

The bottom line (in my opinion) is all of these kind of sites are good to earn startup capital to get involved in a real money maker or start your own site. I have seen a few people make serious money with them, but the odds are you only end up being a cog in a money making machine that pays someone else.

Oldbuddy I'm a bit confused about renting referrals."scam". I have two sites that I rent referrals in and im trying to hit 500. before I start withdrawing.
I do keep track of whos clicking and how many. If what you say is true, How can I protect myself from being scammed into renting referrals?

Can you explain..
P.S. Thank you for all your contributing information

Just do the math. I had one rather popular site I made bux from (over $1500), but when they raised the upgrade fees and I started adding up all the expenses to maintain my rented referrals, I dropped it like a Hot Potato. The only one making serious money was the admin for getting so many suckers to promote for him. I still see it advertised more than any other PTC online, so go figure.

The one that brings in the most active referrals for you. It may be totally different than what works for me or anyone else.

Has anyone joined any of the trading sites??? Like empire option of E Torro , binary options.. Royal Capital Market?? Are these sites legit ?
They advertise that you can make a decision rather a stock market will go up or down and if you choose correctly than you get a high percent payback.

Do you mean forex (foreign currency exchange)?
You would really have to know what you're doing, or you would lose your money.

You need a lot of work to make money with them. If you are interested, spend only a small amount of time on them, learn to paper trade (you still will not be dealing with all the things that have an effect on the markets and don't come up while paper trading) and limit your overall exposure. Not telling you don't try it at all, but focus more on creating something you can control. Like a small cashout from FusionCash used to finance some other somewhat controllable program. Most people do not have enough, knowledge, education, skill, experience and much more to hit the ground running in something like Binary Options. Since these sites deal with areas that are federally regulated they are considered legal.
