What do you prefer chatrooms vs. blogs

I am kinda in the middle, it is all about the statements and conversation that gets my attention.   :o  Many of times both can ruin someones lively hood and or reputation, but then there are people who make and meet good long distant friends.

What are your thoughts and or concerns?
