Money for Coupons

The trick to the coupons with multiples is to purchase that item when it is on sale saving you extra money.  Of course don't buy things you don't need but for example there was recently a coupon for $1 off 5 Totinos Party Pizzas.  We eat these all the time when my fiance doesn't feel like cooking (I don't cook )  Our local grocery store always runs promos for these somewhere in the area of 5 for $4 or something similar (Meijer and lots of chain stores do too) .   So you use the coupon getting 5 pizzas for $3 instead of $4 making the pizzas 60 cents each.  If I got 10 cents from Fusion Cash for redeeming this coupon it would technically make the pizzas 58 cents a piece.  That's less than half price considering they are usually $1.20 to $1.30.  It takes time but I have saved a lot of money doing it.  It's tricky to match up the coupons to the ads though, I am no where near an extreme couponer!

As far as the ink expense goes, I print them at work since I don't have a printer (Shhh!)

So, this is what 'couponing' means! Interesting. I never really thought about you get a savings on top of the store savings. I thought the sales items would be excluded. I guess that applies to things such as electronics.

I could be wrong but I think the ink would be worth it, if you are saving money on the food (I try to buy on sale and use the coupon) and get points from a site which in turns earns you more money I don't think the ink and paper would exceed those savings and earnings but like I said, I could be wrong.

You could be right. It all depends on the in-store and coupon savings vs. the cost of ink. I printed some for the first time today and it took 7 pages to print 21 coupons. I think I would rather get them from the weekly sales ads though.

Yes!  Now you have to read the coupons very carefully to make sure that there are not stipulations like "cannot be combined with any other offer."  I find these to be few and far between but they do exist.  Also some stores will let you use a store coupon and a sunday coupon together.

Yeah I don't use the coupons here because another website pays me to use theirs. I definitely would use them here if they offered incentive because I'm more loyal to this website but I'd rather get money for helping them with their coupons (because I'm sure they get money from the company for each person that uses coupons through their site)

I like the coupons. You get paid to use them and you save money at the store.
Another bonus is to use them on double coupon days.

Keeping with the Pizza coupon topic, I print that same coupon, as well as add it to my savings star account (you can get credit from FC for joining savings star - search it if you haven't already), so the Pizza's are on sale this week, and I'll save $1 with the printed coupon, get paid $1 from savings star, and then since I printed it on a site that gives me 10 cents/points for using it, I will get that in a few weeks.   Then when I am out of ink, I but it from FC shoping area and save on the ink as well as earn money for shopping here.   The ink ends up not costing as much and the coupons are worth it.

I like the idea that Optiwoman has mentioned. I try to do similar as much as I can. A big box office supply company has a program that if you turn in your old ink cartridges you get $2 for the recycling which will come to you as a coupon good towards any purchase and if you use their rewards program you get 10% back on your purchases. So I started by recycling a good number of cartridges, bought a multi pack and got both the recycling money and the reward money the following month and at the time I was in school and burning through ink pretty fast. It did not  completely pay for the multi pack but it did help each and every time and once in a while they also have a 15 or 20% off all purchases coupon which helps out as well. For me it is kind of fun to see how well I can do rolling some of the same money over and over.
