Birthdays...
« on: January 02, 2013, 05:59:11 pm »
What month is your birthday in? Do you have any birthday traditions? What are your birthday plans this year?

My birthday is during this month. I don't have any traditions, but I hope that one year I could start a special tradition although I've no idea what it would/could be yet. I also don't have any plans. Probably won't do a cake or anything either. I think I'll probably be at home in front of the television, maybe I'll watch one of my favorite movies & have a little popcorn.  :dontknow:

My birthday is in July.  We don't really have any traditions but when I was younger our parents would let us choose where we want to go for dinner.  That was nice cause it allowed us to actually influence where we went for once.

My Birthday is in April. I do not have any traditions anymore now that I am a mother!
Last year I turned 21 and I sent my son to his grandma and grandpa's for the night while me and my hubby went out to eat at Ruby Tuesdays
and I ordered a couple daiquiris then went to the gas station just to buy beer (That we didn't even drink!)
We are not much of drinks so like last year we will probably just go out to eat some where nice but with my son this year!
 ;D ;D ;D

My birthday is in July. I don't really have any traditions. Just kind of hang out at home.

The end of May and sometimes when I was in school, school was already out and that was a bummer, now, I just enjoy the day and thank God that I've made it almost 52 years...

I have a July birthday. My custom is to eat free all day. A lot of restaurants offer a free birthday meal if you join their e-mail club.

@Moonangel That is really cool. Birthday AND fireworks! That must be an extra special celebration.  :D

@davidf938 That's an interesting idea. I might have to try that out some time. Thanks for the idea!

My birthday is May 9th. So all my life I have had to share my birthday with a National Celebration event (Mother's Day), my Mom (May 10th - she is deceased now but it is still her day), my oldest daughter (she was born 2wks before my birthday - April 26th), my nephew May 11th, my oldest Granddaughter May 18th, my son-in-law, May 19th, my oldest brother May 21. Needless to say, May attracted a lot of b'days in my family. Perhaps, a lot of previous cold winters :cat:

My birth is in April, I don't feel like celebrating it this year though. I just feel like I have accomplished what I wanted.

We always do something for birthdays ALWAYS have a cake and something good for a meal.  Since 2008 we seldom do gifts because of money but we celebrate the birth of the person.  In fact, we are starting a new tradition in our family that friends of ours do - we celebrate the birthday of special loved ones that have passed.  We thought that was so cool because it gives a day to really think about that person and what they meant to us.
