I don't know about smiling but laughing sure is.  Sometimes I can laugh so hard that it hurts and I cry.... :dontknow:  :dontknow:

I think they both are.  :)

I have caught laughter from someone else and it did wonders for me. As for smilling my aunt is big on smiling. She doesn't mention it a lot, but does it all the time and when I see her smile it encourages me and makes me want to smile as well. I really enjoy seeing others smile and find that it does put a smile on my face too.  ;)  :D  ;D

I think it is.  Smiling always helps the other person.  It make them smile too.  Hope everyone has a great day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

Smiling can be very contagious if you let it be.   Smile and the world will smile  with you.  I believe most times crying can be contagious too.

I think smiling, like yawning, is contagious.  Here's another weird little thing but, when I start yawning so does my dog.  LOL  In fact, I think she can smile too, haven't heard her laugh yet though.  hehehe :dog:

I believe that energy is contagious and that we often "mirror" what we experience if we're not stuck in a zone.

I've noticed that whenever I smile at a small child they always smile back.
Have a great day!

I think that it is just ingrained in us to reflect other's emotions, whether it's smiling, laughing, yawning, crying, etc. It's probably some type of group / social response. For example, yawning is thought to be contagious because if one person yawns, it means that they are tired and it signals that it is time to sleep. In a social setting, this would then get passed through the "tribe" to signal that the tribe should sleep. Likewise if someone smiles, they are probably happy for some reason. If in a group of people, one person smiling probably means that there is a reason for the others to be happy too.

Then again if you just smile at some random person for no reason at all, they'll probably smile back, thinking you're just a little nutty  ;D

Those around us have an influence on us. Moods and attitudes can be contagious. I think smiling, like yawning, can be contagious.

I believe so. If you walk around smiling at people, they tend to smile back. And smiling makes a person feel good.
