Is anyones elses new year starting off bad or just me?

Its only the 2nd but the bad is carrying over from last year. Havent paid Dec rent yet,dont know where the money is gonna come from. All bill are past due, Santa skipped my house, but its only the 2nd, its still early jus keep your head up and keep on pushing

New Year's is highly emphasized as a "new start" so people expect all their problems to go away and sunshine and rainbows to follow them when the clock strikes midnight. So anything bad on not ideal that may happen in Jan is taken to an extreme. Life is what you make it 365 days a year.

Sorry to hear that. My new year has been uneventful so far. I can say that it has been really boring and I hope to find some new hobbies this year. I am on the computer waay too much sometimes.

Other than the fact that I got sick on Christmas Day with a cold, and I am still coughing and can't get rid of the cough, I guess my New Year has been okay so far.

I love ebay, and I don't mind used products, but I prefer new electronics, but it's good to know there are $20 laptops available

My ex husband just rented one for $80 per month

For $80 I can BUY one. (used of course)

I bought the laptop I use for surfing the Internet for $21.50 on Ebay.

I know that's right, I need mine too.  While the kids were counting down to Christmas I was counting down to tax return season.

My back went out today and my desktop broke down, I don't have any money to replace it and I need to start school in 2 weeks. Not starting great.

Yeah, it hasn't been so hot of a new year for me... Yesterday just before going home for the day at work, one of the project managers told us that a major project that we had been working on for the last few months was suddenly canceled. But it hasn't been as bad as some people... My best friend's brother was one of the tenants affected by the 3-alarm fire (see http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/SF-3-Alarm-Fire-Displaces-Dozens-185296742.html) in San Francisco. So I guess I should just be thankful that I have my health, my home, my friends and family, and my job. It could always be worse.

The new year hasn't been good for me so far. I vowed to make changes this year and so far everything that I seem to do back fires but I am not going to give up.

Yep, had a toothache since NY eve and haven't qualified for surveys since Christmas... slow. Hope it picks up soon..got bills to pay.

Yeah kind of I had a terrible headache, felt dizzy and my grandmother had to be taken to the hospital, when spent the 1st and 2nd in the emergency room/hospital.
