I hope I get a chance to try making my own, but I don't think it will be any time soon as I don't have the money to spend on the things needed (or to waste on any trials & errors). But if I ever do get make any, I'll post about the end results.

@Cuppycake I've never heard of almond flour before, but that sounds like it would be good to use for home made cookies. Maybe even some other things too, like maybe cake?

@Vicogden Thanks for the link!

I don't want to make anything.  Instead, just looking at the words "Peanut butter" makes me want peanut butter cookies.  Yum, Yum. yum.

I have never made p b before but have tasted homemade it was good but either to oily or too dry. It is definately different from store bought.
I love pb but don't even buy it anymore because I will eat it all in 1 or 2 days! :wave: :peace:

I love peanut butter, but I think it would end up costing entirely too much to try to make if at home, so much easier to just go to the store and get that jar, and less expensive.

Peanut butter is easy to make. Just ground them up and add some water to form a paste. It’s the same for any other nuts. It’s better to make your own than to buy store bought nut butter.

I have never made my on peanut butter but I have made peanut butter fudge and peanut butter *bleep* and they have always been a winner.  I make them at Christmas and they enjoy them.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

I just bought almond butter for the first time from wal-mart.  It was pricey but when I compared the price of convenience to what it would cost to make it was just a little cheaper.  There is a recipe book I checked out from the local library called Foods that fight Fibromyalgia by Deirdre Rawlings.  There is a (what looks to be simple) recipe for making almond butter.  After tasting the almond butter I thought it reminded me of a snickers bar w/almonds. Not bad!  I'm using it for smoothies because for substituting it as PB just doesn't make sense as in Cents as far as I'm concerned.  The book is great though I've had to check it out 3 x's because it has had so many successful recipes in it.
Almonds are far more expensive then peanuts but they are far better for you. I buy almond flour instead of regular flour and it is $125 for 25 lbs. It will last a good while though.

I never successfully made peanut butter. I tried when I was a kid and I watched  Mr. Rogers make some on his program. I tried to mash the peanuts with a potato masher. Anyway I've always wanted to try to make some but I never got the nerve.
