If I were paranoid...
« on: December 23, 2012, 10:42:15 am »
I would think that being of Hispanic decent and not buying a car in the last two years immediately disqualifies me from a majority of the surveys, lol.    ;D
But seriously, three surveys shot down.  I'm taking my time.  Not rushing.  Being as honest as possible.  Tell me, since I'm half hispanic and half white...should I change my FC profile to "white" and answer all surveys as being "white"?

Honesty is the best policy in all cases. Surveys take patience and time. They will come to you. Don't give up unless you want to.

My inclination is that you would have a better chance of getting a survey being Hispanic than being "white".  But I say that because I'm white and get shot down 90% of the time. LOL!

It all depends on the demographic needs of the advertiser.  All you can do is keep trying and hope that this time your demographics fit the bill.

It appears to me that minorities have a better chance of getting to complete the surveys than Caucasians because the sponsors are looking for a cross-cultural sampling of respondents, at least where ethnicity is concerned.  Also having children 18 and younger seems to be more acceptable, as they ask that all the time.  I am not sure on the household income, as everyone has to buy products regardless of income-- perhaps you buy different types of products at different financial stages, but there are always the basics that all people need.  I agree that it is very frustrating to spend a lot of time on a survey only to be kicked off.

Hello  I just think the surveys are very picky because they only want certain people to take the survey. They have to be careful they want to collect the right data. It's just unfortunate for us when we don't qualify. :o :BangHead:

Naw not paranoid.  Just feeling the frustrations of survey taking.  Look at it this way.  Better to be booted out early on in the survey rather 1/2 an hour into it.  The trick is to just keep going.  There days when I'm swamped and I can't keep up.  Others where I'm dead and wonder what I did wrong.  The old adage it's not you it's me...really is true in this respect.

I can relate to your experience, but also my advice is to stick to whats been working for you, Hispanic would be the best bet.

Being white has nothing too do with the most of the surveys, sometimes i feel like because i am not latino and young i don't qualifiy, But it is just a shot in the dark if and when you get one.  I don't have any children and will not buy a new car bu it hasn't stopped me from trying.

I do surveys sometimes and get credited maybe 2 out of 10 tries. I think of those surveys are like the lottery, if everytime you bought a ticket its a winner. You can bet your last dollar that it wont last long.
