Anyone have credit counseling hang up on them over and over?

So I call this one call for credit debt couseling to ask some questions and they ask If you have credit card debt press 1 (I did). If you are less than 6 months behind press 1 ( I did) they hang up?? I called back and pressed 2 and they said they are a credit counseling service for ppl less than 6 months behind? WTH?

Anyone else had this happen to them?

Kind of ironic.  Most people who need credit counseling are used to hanging up on bill collectors.  Here the people who are supposed to help with the bill collectors hang up on you.

i called it about a week ago and didnt have any problems was easy to keep on the line but they wanna call you back just ask how it works they talk forever

There are 2 of them. The first one excepted my call and gave me really good advice but really couldn't help me. The other one hung up on me over and over.

Tell them that you are not interested and have them put you on the do not call list. If they call again tell them that that is phone harassment and you will be notifying the local authorities.

i called it about a week ago and didnt have any problems was easy to keep on the line but they wanna call you back just ask how it works they talk forever

You are so right. I called them and everything went well and they really love to talk. I think the call lasted about 8 minutes.

  I was able to keep her on the phone for about 6 1/2 min and all you gotta do is just think if you didnt have any $$$ and what you would say if you ran up a Med.Bill w/o Ins.for a Illness.Tell them that it's hard for you to be behind and you need help is all.

Yes I do all the time and it is so bad for them to do that they need to stop if they do not wont to talk do not do that it is just bad to do that to some one.

That's very strange.  Maybe they were overloaded with calls at the time.

That's weird. Seems like someone has let them know about these paid to call offers which is crazy. I would want to earn as much as I can the easy and free way.

Never try paid to call.
What do i need to talk if i dont really need the stuff they offered?
