I made 3 different batches of cookies. I made shortbread, which were absolutely delicious!--then I made regular chocolate chips and thin, chewy yet crispy chocolate chips, my sister and I like them that way and I couldn't believe i could find a recipe for cookies just like that  ;D  they were all very good- it's winter so there will be more baking going on still, not just for the holiday

I finished off all my baking for Christmas with candy cane cookies. I had to separate the batches so that I could dye one of them red. They took forever to roll out, shape and spiral together for effect on the tray. They were so good with the perfect touch of peppermint. Wish they were a little easier to make so that I could have made more though.

There is nothing like homemade cookies. They are calling for snow today so it would be a good day to bake. Sugar cookies and Toll house. Yumm.

The holidays were so crazy! My mom and aunt made a lot of candy.  I didn't have time.  But now, I think I will bake some!  I was so overwhelmed with all of the sweets leading up to christmas.  Now I guess I am having sugar withdrawals! LOL  So maybe a few cookies now. . .

I do both. I like to make homemade chocolate chip cookies myself. Sometimes, my son will help and we like to eat the cookie dough. Around the Holidays, I usually order some really nice cookies from a nearby cookie/candy house that can customize your cookies the way you like them. I need more kitchen tools and supplies to make really nice cookies. Maybe next year or so I will be able to make better cookies from home!
Good Luck!
