Buying gifts for your pet
« on: December 10, 2012, 07:03:33 am »
How many of you hang a stocking and/or buy Christmas gifts for your pet?  I do. Answer what kind of pet you have and what you buy.  I have a pomeranian.  He loves squeaky toys and I have a hung a stocking for him.  With treats and squeaky toys.

I have two cats and they don't necessarily get toys FOR Christmas because my spending is already so high elsewhere, but they get a few new little toys throughout the year as the old ones wear out or break.

I have a parrot, Emmett. I'm getting him a new toy for his cage and possibly a seed treat.  His dining preference is actually human food...pasta, oatmeal, popcorn.

I have a yellow lab and two young male cats.  They'll all be getting stockings, lotsa gifts and I always decorate a Christmas tree for the pets using baked-dog cookie "ornaments", pet goodies and holiday-themed toys.  I always just put the lights on the tree and then very early on Christmas morning I decorate with the treats & toys.  They always LOVE finding their goodies on the tree and their gifts under it.

Our cat has a bigger stocking up than either i or my boyfriend does.  We made a trip to Petsmart Satruday to buy toys for him--a replacement of the scratching post he destroyed last year and a mouse on a fishing pole to play with.  I would like to know how you get a job designing cat toys.  And do cats participate in market studies to see which toys they like and what will sell?
