In the past couple of years I have started making a signature Chocolate Mousse Pie for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and making what I call Mock Toffee using saltines, butter, brown sugar and chocolate chips. Sometimes I will add other cookies or bars.

I have started on mine also, I will leave a small amount out for hubby to snack on and the rest go up in the freezer or whereever until i get them all done and ready to go. I enjoy baking for gifts.

I do alot of baking and goodie making this time of year and give goodie bags to friends. I usually make banana bread, fudge, mint fudge, peanut butter/milk chocolate fudge, ritz cracker/peanut butter sandwiches dipped in milk chocolate, puppy chow and crispix mix. Then for our dinner I make chocolate lasagna, caramel pecan cheesecake, cherry cheesecake and pumpkin pie.

Today I have gotten 2 batches of fudge done, 2 batches of puppy chow and a batch of crispix mix. Getting ready to make the ritz cracker/peanut butter treats.

How in the world do you manage all that?  :notworthy:

I hold an annual cookie baking party at my house each year.  I invite friends and co-workers to stop by whenever to help with the baking and decorating, then they can take home whatever they want.  It makes for a fun party this time of year.

That is exactly the kind of thing I would like to do, but dont have friends who would be into it! Urgh!!

I am so behind on my holiday baking this year!  Usually, I try to bake cookies around Thanksgiving and freeze them until Christmas.  I also make a lot of Chex mix.  Last year, I bought fancy plastic baggies to give away my cookies and mix in.  Maybe I will be more motivated tomorrow!

When you freeze them, how do they taste amonth later?
