As a personal rule, I mostly stick to myself.  I wave hi and bye but that's mainly it.  The neighbor to the right of me and I had a few words a few months ago b/c he tried to tell me what to do but after I politely let it be known that I pay my rent just like he does his and I don't bother anyone and therefore don't want anyone bothering me we pretty much just act like we don't see each other now lol

I have had pretty good relationships with my neighbors, especially my seniors they have been very supportive and offered a great deal of their wisdom  to me over the years.  God  put me a a great neighborhood.  :icon_rr:

Almost everywhere we have lived we have had anything BUT a good relationship with neighbors.  Now where we live we have a friendly wave and say hello but leave each other alone and so far that is working out real good.

My neighbors are relatives that think they are better than everybody else.  We have always tried to be nice but the little jabs they verbally say doesn't go over well with me.  My husband takes it because they are his aunt and uncle but I don't have to.   ;D

Where I live we all have at least 1 acre so we're really not "friendly", but do wave when or if we see each other which is not often  I came from a neighborhood where as soon as you steped out of your house, you saw someone.  I liked that and thought I would miss it, but after living here for a few years I love where I live, the privacy we have is wonderful!

We don't have many neghbors that are home all the time, but our next door neighbors She is great and he gets on nerves a lot, because he has alztimers(mis spelld )there. He shows up over here at odd ball times. But what are going to do but put up with it. She really has her hands full, If she has to be gone for a little  bit she calls and lets us now. And as soon as she leaves here he comes. But at least we all know where he is. He is not bad enough to commit yet. Once in a while i will have to call his brother,  and he will show up and take him back home or with him. Oh well.

Before we moved to the country a few years ago, we lived in a big city.  Houses were pretty close, but we pretty much knew all of the neighbors on our street, and some we considered friends.  Everyone was pretty friendly, too, which was nice.

Now, in the "country," neighbors aren't as close, but the ones on both sides of us have become pretty good friends with us and each other.  The others are friendly, and everyone here always has at least a wave and a smile for everyone else.

No, both of my neighbors are terrible. They have a complete lack of basic common decency when it comes to noise.

It almost sounds like you and Cuppycake have the same neighbors!  That's really inconsiderate of neighbors to be that way.

Do you have a good relationship with your neighbors?
No. They are noisy and bothersome !My husband and I are a rather quiet couple and they annoy us immensely!

You and queenofnines sound like you have similar neighbors.  I can't believe the nerve that some neighbors have in how they forget what being considerate to others means.

Not with the neighbors who live right next door to us, but with our other neighbors yes.
The ones who live next door to us are slobs and the other ones are rude.

I'm a 'front yard' neighbor.   I say hello and speak to my neighbors if I'm in the front of the house,  but I don't like to see them when I'm in the backyard and don't start conversations - I'm pretty sure they just think I'm strange.  I know the name of only one of my neighbors - after living here for two years.

We don't have a bad relationship with our neighbors but we all mostly keep to ourselves. They are nice people though :)

No, both of my neighbors are terrible. They have a complete lack of basic common decency when it comes to noise.

I can relate. After a year of asking one of my neighbors to do something with their constantly barking basset hound (who has a basset hound in a small subdivision?), in a polite way. I finally contacted the mayor to see if their were noise ordinances. After hearing my description, he sent a cop that day. Now they hate us and the woman's mother verablly harrasses my husband anytime she sees him in the yard. We have given up using our pool or entertaining on our deck. Even tried to sell our house, but in this market, not happening.

My next question is, would you basically tell her to go *uck herself? flip her off? have a warrante issued?  What would you do?

The ones across the street are nice, maybe a little too nice because I fixed their computer once and now they try to come over ALL the time, Its a little annoying. My other neighbors we smile but that's about it.
