I have not left the country!!!
« on: December 05, 2012, 04:32:38 am »
this is the message I've been getting for several days:

Thank you for participating. It appears you are not currently in the country listed on your account. Due to this, we're unable to allow access to the survey. If you are away from your home country, please do not participate in further surveys until you return.

I have moved to Texas from Tennessee but the country is the SAME.. I have missed several good paying surveys because of this. I am disabled and FusionCash if the best way for me to make a bit of extra cash daily... I like the $.17/day, BUT when I CAN ADD $1, $2, $3, AND MORE $$$ I CAN CASH OUT FASTER.

I have submitted claim forms but I just thought of this!!!

Did you make sure that your country didn't accidentally get changed? How are you connecting to the internet? Where are you in Texas....anywhere near Mexico?

Are you using a proxy to connect?  Many proxy connections are usually out of the country.

Have you notified Fusion Cash that you have moved? You now have a different iSP and maybe a different computer. Things have changed since you originally signed up. You need to inform Fusion Cash of the changes.

What are proxies? How does one connect using a proxy?  Can it be done accidentally or when one uses WiFi?

There are seveal sites that I'm a member of that do not allow the use of proxies.  I know I don't use them when I'm at home, but I'm not too sure whether they might come into play when I access the net when I travel  and use WiFi connections.  (Haven't done that yet, but plan on trying it in the future if it doesn't cause a problem.)

Don't worry, you have to deliberately connect through a proxy.  For an explanation as to why you might want to use a proxy, see below.  However, let me warn anyone intending to use a proxy to connect to Fusion Cash - you might just get your account blocked, so don't do it.

PROXY SERVER

A proxy or proxy server is basically another computer which serves as a hub through which internet requests are processed. By connecting through one of these servers, your computer sends your requests to the proxy server which then processes your request and returns what you were wanting. In this way it serves as an intermediary between your home machine and the rest of the computers on the internet. Proxies are used for a number of reasons such as to filter web content, to go around restrictions such as parental blocks, to screen downloads and uploads and to provide anonymity when surfing the internet

I have the same problem.   It started at the end of October when I switched from att dsl to att uverse internet.

It has been a problem for me with other sites as well as Fusion Cash.   There are crowdflower tasks, surveys, and videos that I can't do or watch or get credit for.

I've spent a couple of hours on the phone with att support but they tell me it must be something on my pc, but I have 3 pc's and they all have the same problem, so it's obviously a modem/isp issue.

Is ATT Uverse a wireless G4 type connection you can use anywhere or is it a hardwire connection in your home with/without a wireless modem?

I've gotten the impression that G4 wireless connections do not work effectively on all types of tasks/offers etc -- not that the connection is banded, but just that it doesn't work.  That why mobile devices (phones particularly) don't handle things well on FC.

I would think you should be able to update your profile or send a support ticket to help get this straightened out. Good luck.

WELL, FC asked me not to send out any more tickets, that it would be resolved in 24/48 hours and it has been more than a week. Yes, I did check that I was in TX, and close to DFW to it's far away from Mexico so the waiting game is continuing. Wish me luck...  :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

Swogden, Att Uverse isn't 4g, it uses a  modem and can be used wired/wireless.

Tomas7, It's not a problem of changing adresses as I never changed locations, just switched from Dsl to Uverse.

Thanks for the response.  I'm surprised that you are having problems with Uverse.  Might it have a built-n security system that might be blocking sites or types of data downloads?  (Though if you talked to ATT, I would think they would know that.)

Actually it doesn't always have to be deliberate on your part. I use Hughes Net satellite internet, and they automatically use a proxy on their end. So it looks like i'm using a proxy even though I'm not, at least not on my end. At least it shows my location as Maryland, not a different country.
