HOW SAD :(

As you know, America is the first country to send aid when other countries are in trouble.
 
It is highly appropriate that we now send THANKS to all of the countries that reciprocated for our help with their disasters, misgivings, social turmoil, & poverty by sending to the United States of America monetary and physical help when Sandy ravaged our East Coast leaving dead, homelessness, and pure disaster.
 
Listed below are all the Countries and World Organizations that are giving us gracious assistance.
 
Please assist in thanking these entities by passing on this email so people all over America can join in and THANK our neighbors, to whom we have invested BILLIONS!!!!
 
First on the list is…;
1.NOT A ONE!
 
Maybe now Americans will realize that charity begins at home. With millions of our people in need and in poverty, let's save our money and spend it at home instead of sending it to Egypt, Libya, Pakistan, etc.
 


.......Staten Island and parts of New Jersey would gladly Thank America if we spent the billions there.....

i agree and speaking as someone who has a family member working for FEMA they are doing something. my brother services all of the generators for fema but because other countries haven't really sent help here like we do with them my brother didn't even make it home for thanksgiving.

I don't understand why this surprises you.  This has been going on for years, we are always the first to help any country in any crisis, but we sadly have to stand alone when we have a crises  You would think we would learn after all these years, but I guess not.  The one thing we have that we can be very proud of is when America has a crises we always band together and help one another.  This is what makes us different, strong, and America!!

Maybe we should not see their movis or buy their music. Wonder if that would get their attention. But we also on the other had have a few great ones that do help over here.

We may be all in it together except the together doesn't involve our country when we have a disaster.  Then we're alone.  The other countries don't seem to notice but expect us to help them every time and like dummies we do it.

I think one area money is sent to should really be in question - Libya with the Muslim Brotherhood, made up of extreme Islamist, who don't even like America, especially those who profess to be Christians.

I understand why you feel that way, but you need to remember...that is exactly what sets us apart from every other country.  Leaders lead.  American's have big hearts.   I do think we need to be more selective of who we help and especially when our own people are having such tough economic times, however, doesn't it make you feel proud to know that the rest of the world looks to us as the solution when they are in trouble?

I do believe that America needs to focus more on America though I agree with the philosophy that we should be different and lead a better way. My problem is when tax payers money is spent to rebuild areas or countries we have been at war with after those countries sign a treaty that may never be truly enforced. If we blew parts of their country up it should not be our job nor or money used to rebuild it.

It would also be nice if all the countries in the UN would pull their equal weight. But since our own people refuse to pay equal taxes how can we expect others who look to us to attempt equality?

Here Here cateyes am in total agreement.  I don't get it we are always trying to run out and help other countries who ever appreciate it and never reciprocate.  I loved your comment "charity begins at home".
