i enjoy receiving a  surprise just like everyone does, but it makes me very happy to give an unsuspected gift to a friend or family member.

Giving is very rewarding. There is a special kind of happiness from giving someone something they appreciate. But getting a gift every now and then is great too. It would be sad if no one ever thought to give a generous gift giver anything.

I'm definitely more of a giver than receiver.  I seem to be able to figure out great gifts for people around me.  I have learned how to be an accepting receiver over the years though.

No doubt receiving is fun and exciting but, when you give it just makes you feel more accomplished in knowing you have been a positive role model for someone else plus you have helped someone who had less than you do!!!  I love helping others and wish I could do more sometimes, so that makes me feel a little down cause I can't do as much as I would like to.  So, I would say, for me giving is much better than receiving!!!!!!!!!!!

It's always an accomplishment to give.  When you give the blessing comes pouring on you.  It is better to give than to receive.

There is a certain kind of satisfaction you receive from giving, especially to those you feel are deserving and appreciative.  However, it also feels nice to receive especially when you know it comes from the heart.

When I was younger I loved to receive, but now that I'm older I love giving. When I give and make people happy it makes me happy.
