in God we Trust

What is your opinion on the phrase, I think it was put on the dollar as a symbol for all faiths.

In God as we trust is on the money because we are a country from which God has protected. If we don't keep God in this country it will be overrun by other countries of the world! An example is the way the 9/11 they want to destroy our country they don't want anybody to have anything because they don't have it. It is us against them is not religion it's it's a way of life that they want to change they don't want us to have freedom they want us to be under their thumb and do what they say not what have you father wants us to when we want to.

Our country was founded on a strong belief on a higher power.  All the states preamble have mention of this also.  I also believe that if we keep pushing God out of our country, we are doomed!

Yep, its just what the forefathers believed in and encorperated into the money system, really means nothing to me~money is money, and I wish we had more of it at this point in time.

It does bother me when Christians claim that the motto has always been on coins since the start of the this country.  The motto wasn't printed on coins until the Civil War.  The motto wasn't printed on paper money until the Cold War.

I don't know what I think about it being put on the money really except that I think it was a belief most people held a long time ago now I'm not so sure how many really stand on that statement but I know I do.

As I got older I began to hear of other religions. "In God We Trust" to me meant that I needed God to live and the fact that the one thing we needed most to survive was MONEY just brought the two together for me. Not to worship money but to be thankful for it.

've been reading  so material on the building of our country over the smmer an God was a big center of building the foundtional laws of the country.  What's going on now?
