sleepy baby
« on: November 29, 2012, 09:54:05 am »
Again the baby is sleeping without a diaper. Last time he did this he woke up and wet potty on me.  I don't have a clue as to how to keep clothes and a diaper on him. He is only 20 months old and being potty trained he is doing great but not completely ready to go without the diaper all night, but yet he always wakes up every morning with no clothes and no diaper how does he manage that.

When my son was that age he would take off his clothes and onesie. I think its just something lil ones do. Till this day (he is 9 yrs old) when I check on him in middle of night I have to put his blanket over him and all he has on is his underwear and his pajamas are on the floor beside his bed. Funny how each night he get ready for bed fully jamas on but when I check in on him no jamas on. LOL Try the big boy undies which we call onesies. You know the decorated underpants for potty training and they also have the overnites ones. Hope this helps you.  :)

Sounds to me that he loves wearing his birthday suit and wants to live like a free little hippie!! Haha! Sorry, if it sounds offensive.  :-[

Have you tried letting him pick out his diapers? You can even try letting him pick out those diaper coverings that some stores carry, that go over the diaper and they have decorations. Maybe he would like those. Maybe he wants to wear his underwear to bed and you can buy those mattress covers that go under the bed sheet for protection. I don't know. Just some suggestions! Your son is ahead of my son. My boy is 4 years old, still sleeps in a crib and still wears diapers. He doesn't speak yet....(he's going to speech therapy)......so he can't tell me when he needs to go potty. Plus, he's one of those crazy sleepers that move all over the mattress. I'm scared he will fall. So he's still in his crib! Haha!!  :P He don't mind though. I think he enjoys being mommy's little baby still.  :binkybaby:

It's just a matter of time.
Each child will sleep dry through the night
in their own time.
