ebay is cheap if you are a bit more gutsy you can try quibids. people get stuff dirt cheap there.

I thought about using Quibids, but I heard you have to pay for you bids. I don't know how much. I never tried to find out. There is always a catch.

There's a BIG catch. They throw around prices that make you double-take, but that's not what you really pay. You buy penny bids for $1 so when they say the winner got it for $1.50 it really costs them $150. Then if there were 10 people actively bidding to the end, the website rakes in $1,500 in profit. Do the math.

 ebay is good, put you have to have the money if you don't have very much money and you want to purchase a new Laptop consider going into HSN.com they have option of payment on alot of stuff including labtop and tablets. Hope this helps

I agree, if your laptop just started dying (or went out completely). If you don't know how to check and live near a Staples, I think they're doing free PC checks at all of their stores. Last time I was there (a couple weeks ago) they gave me a flyer about having my computer checked. I know some other stores that will check your PC for you charge for it.

I got my lap top for 1 penny when I signed up for Internet and Telephone through TDS Telecom, which is my local telephone company.  I would'nt believe any of those companies telling you that you can get a free lap top by participating in surveys.

How about Craigslist; Get one for around $50 to $100 bucks. Most of the time they, the sellers, will throw in a keyboard, mouse & sometimes speakers also with it.

  This is my 4th PC in the last 7 or 8 years. I somehow get a virus/spyware or crash them (the Blue-Screen-Of-Death) then ya gotta buy another. Even on my fixed income, with $200 left over after rent & all utility, if I don't have my desktop PC (I have a laptop too) I'd be a nut-case... Heck, I'd pick-up cans if that's what it took to get $50 to $100 bucks.

  Kinda goes without sayin', FC $$$money$$$ is mighty helpful.
