Anybody like me who do not like turkey?

I really do not like turkey i mean ill eat it its not like i cant stand it but I just do not particularly like it. Its dry and has o flavor am i alone? anybody feel the same?

I am with you on that one. I am no fan of turkey. Like you I always find it dry. I prefer chicken over turkey any day.

Turkey has flavor depending on how you cook it.  Same with dryness.....I always use a turkey bag and have moist and flavorful turkey.

We like to use the leftovers to make Turkey Ala King.

I like dry turkey. I like many foods dry including chicken.

You just need a better cook. Slice it on bread and smother it with gravy, then it's not dry or flavorless at ll.

I used to feel the same as you do about turkey until I learned how to cook it properly. Turkey that is dry is not properly marinated. Turkey must be basted again and again while cooking and also butter and perhaps herbs should be put under the skin to insure tenderness. It should be cooked slowly high heat and fast cooking and you get those horrors you and I both dislike so much.

I have had smoked and baked.  Brined beforehand and injected with various herbs and oils during the cooking process.  Turkey to me is just not as good as smaller birds.  I'd rather have chicken, quail, duck, or goose.

I like it ok but its not my favorite meat. I use to fix mine in a roaster and basted it a lot so it wouldn't be too dry.

I enjoyed turkey on Thanksgiving dinner, but too much is too much. Been having turkey pretty much every day trying to finish it!!

I do not like turkey that is baked in the oven.  No matter how moist, it still comes out dry.  I never buy Turkey for Thanksgiving or any other time.  I either prepare a Capon or Roasting Hen.
