I have 3-4 sets. They belonged to my late mother-in-law. Still work just never use them.

I used to have them on our tree when I was a kid.  I don't see them very often anymore.  I always thought they were beautiful!

I had some growing up but I think they are WAY too big unless you have a very tall and large tree.
They look very nice outside though.
It must be the perception of the proportion of what they are hanging on.
I do remember they got very hot.

We had 3 on our old tree.  There was the one that seemed to bubble as soon as it turned on, the one that bubbled about and hour after and the one that you had to leave the tree on all day and maybe it would decide to bubble a bit.  They were nice to watch though.  I miss them now.
