Daily Email reroute
« on: November 21, 2012, 06:38:46 am »
Today while doing my daily email, I was reroute to a bsavings survey signout. Does ""FC ever do this before you get to your offers page after opening the daily email. I thought this strange, because it has never happened. I followed all the steps until complete, and then signed out and went back to PTC. However, after I finished and clicked on forum, I was hit by a virus! Can you tell if this was a virus that redirected me or was it FC? How do I avoid this situation?

I doubt it was FC that redirected you.  You may have had the virus on your system and it directed you.

I hope you were able to remove the virus.  I use Malwarebytes and it does a pretty good job of finding and removing malware from my computer that has slipped by the security system.  Knock on wood, I haven't had many problems since I started using Avast.

I use Linux so I don't get the virus or spyware in the first place.

Wow, that sounds serious.  I feel that fc is a great cite and it is very out of the ordinary for something like that to happen.  Fc has always been an awesome site so it was definitely an outside source that gave your computer a virus.  Good luck with the next time!
