what to do to make my Elderly Patient happy on Thanksgiving since she's alone now in life. I want to give her the best care for the remaining days of her life

You can maybe read her some uplifting nice poems. You can ask her if she maybe wants to listen to some holiday music. Talk about some her great days she had when she was growing up. If you have a child maybe you can do a art project with your child for your patient like the hand turkey. When I was working as a CNA I had a patient I would visit often because she too was all alone. I would read her excerpts from her favorite book. I hope this helps as being in a hospital setting there is not much you can do.  :peace:

Aww that's so sweet of you to do that for someone, I'm sure your patient will really be thankful, It's people like you that remind me that not everything is bad and evil  :peace:  I say write them a song or poem or simply tell them what you are trying to do, sometimes it's easier to do this since it will be clear that you are trying to make the best for them as long as you can :)

maybe find out more about her and put together a memory book for her.. if you can't do that, engage with her in talking about some happy times.

Cut out leaves and hang them with spaces in between on a fishing line or string.  Write reasons you are thankful for her or simple things in life that everyone experiences- sunset, etc. Then read it to her and hang it in her room for her to see.  It will spin and "float"- very magical.

see if you can take her to your house for thanksgiving.  she's probably love the company and spending time away.  that would be a very nice thing to do if you can have it arranged
