I lived right next to a cemetary when I was younger we had an apartment. I never had anything strange or anything like that happened. It was weird as I got older and found out more about the weird stuff and cemetaries.

When I was was younger, I dreamed of living in a large estate with a fancy garden and the works. And yes, this included a private cemetery.

Like another posted said, even if the prices wasn't cheap, I really wouldn't mind having a home near a cemetery. It sounds like it would be peaceful. The only problem would be whether it's a spot where teenagers tend to hang out at for kicks. I know I used to do that with my friends...!

Sure! There's nothing to be afraid of, and some people actually think they're cool. Fear of ridiculous things occuring is just ridiculous.

Not  problem, one of my hobbies is doing tombstone rubbings, just makes it less far to walk.

I occassionly do this as well... though I tend to just chalk the stones to make them more readable. I'm betting you go with something more like a wax paper and graphite soloution?

To those of you who are talking about using cemetaries as Halloween decoration... how heartless of a person do you have to be to even consider some *bleep* like that? These were people who lived lives, they have family who are living and should be shown at least a minimum respect of being able to rest in peace. Just because they are no longer alive doesn't mean they should be exploited for some knock off holiday of an old Pagan ritual for your own personal cheap thrills. That's just DISTURBING!

I would if it was cheap, and the whole creepy theme would be kind of cool.

i wouldnt be scared at all.  i would love to live closer to where my son is buried.. its not the cemetary that scares most people its the weirdos that go to the graveyard to do mean things  and i totally agree those people are very important to somebody out there  if i caught people using my sons grave for halloween i would be pissed.... thats just gruesome..

I don't think I would because crazy as it may sound I believe in ghost and don't want unwanted visitors walking through my house.I'm too paranoid that I might go outside and see something I don't have any business seeing..lol.But it's the truth.

I use soft graphite sticks similar to chalk, but I rarly used the waxed paper, heavy bond sketch paper is my preferred material.

i wouldn't have a problem with it.. i mean, it wouldn't be a big deal to me. i find cemetaries to be peaceful, almost relaxing.. not spooky at all.
