how do you deal with the snoring?
« on: April 21, 2009, 10:57:22 am »
I mean really night after night the loud noise that comes from your partners snoring how do you deal with this? do you nudge the one you love till they slightly wake up only to find them back to snoring as soon as you rolled over.was there ever a time that you would just get up out of bed deciding not to wake this person and go watch tv until you fell asleep in another room. What do you do to deal with this issue to live comfortable and sleep easy while in the same bed.

omg my fiance snores like crazy!

i have to go to sleep before him cuz if not, i get real mad and knudge him and mess with him so he wakes up and quits snoring. or i have him roll over, sometimes that helps.

My husband will usually stop snoring (at least for a while) if I nudge him.  However I have a newborn baby only 6 weeks old that 'sleeps' in the same room as us, so between the two I don't get very much sleep.  So when I feel like I can't go any more without a decent sleep, I take the couch and let my husband deal with the baby when she cries.  Its not very comfortable, but believe me it is better than waking up every five minutes for a baby.

Separate rooms seems like a no brainer if it gets to hard to sleep in the same room as a snorer. :BangHead:

I use to push my husband off the bed but he still snores so I either put head phones with music in my ears

I don't snore and could not possibly imagine being with someone who did.It would drive me crazy!!!!I'm a very light sleeper and could not do it but if I were with someone who did snore then yes we would have to do the separate room thing.

My hubby was overweight and he snored like a bear holding a chainsaw.  He still snores, but it is not that bad.  I used to sleep on the sofa until I just got tired of it.  Now I think I may be deaf in one ear.  It really doesn't bother me anymore.

My bf snores occasionally.  When he does I shake him until he stops and if he does it again he gets the same until he stops.  Usually I only have to shake him about two times.

My husband uses a strip on his nose (I'm new to Fusion so I don't know if I can say the brand).  It works within 5 minutes.  For nights that he "forgets" to wear it I nudge him until he turns to his side (which works sometimes) or gets the strip ;D

One time my brother was snoring really loud so I put his phone next to his ear.  I put it to full volume and called him.  He jumped and I couldn't stop myself from laughing. :angel11:
